I can't believe how many on here continually take jabs at Kliff about "only hiring his bros". We'd all talked about at nauseum for years how important it is to understand Lubbock and want to be here as a coach. I seem to remember that we all thought we hit the jackpot with every confirmation of all the ex players being named coach. Haverty was one of the best recruiters and hottest coaches in the league. Kevin Curtis was a bad ass. Mike Smith was a highly sought after NFL coach, etc.
We seemed humbled at the time that all of these guys thought highly enough of Lubbock and Tech that they wanted to be here. I get that it didn't work out, but what I don't get is all the shiz talking and personal attacks about it. I thought that "experiment" was going to work for sure and I still have hella respect for Kliff for making all of those hires. He believed it was going it work.
It looks to me like the B Jones hire was a great one, but yet I see people trying to dampen the mood by bringing up old ish and talking about hiring only bros. I bet most of y'all talking smack were just as excited about all the coach bro hires as I was when they happened. I tend to look at y'all, and our fan base kinda like a family and some of y'all are some sorry kin folks for turning on your own people like y'all do.
