Now that the class is complete post-draft, I’m taking one last look at who will be landing on campus ahead of fall ball. The guys that I have talked to and written articles for, those stories are linked if you haven't read them yet.

Mac Heuer – RHP – Homeschool (GA)

Heuer was drafted by the Guardians with the 488th overall pick in the draft, working up to 97 on his fastball with some extremely easy mechanics, but opted to arrive in Lubbock.

Heuer pairs the fastball with a strong slider and a highly usable changeup. The four-pitch mix works very well off each other and should be one of the best repertoires on the roster.

When Heuer gets to campus in a few weeks, he will likely compete for a rotation spot as the highest ranked pitching prospect to reach campus in the Tim Tadlock era.

Landon Stripling – 2B – Parkview (GA)

TJ Pompey – SS – Coppell (TX)

Gavyn Jones – LHP – White Oak (TX)

Jones was drafted by the Mets after a strong senior year that saw him develop a ton. The fastball from the left-hand side is sitting at 95 with some arm-side run. He pairs that with a west-east slider that works well.

Jones joins Heuer & Petty as pitchers who were drafted to make it to campus, will be a hell of a top three come 2025.

Davis Rivers – C - Waller (TX)

Garet Boehm - 3B – Hutto (TX)

Chandler Coe - RHP – Loomis Chaffee (CT)

Cole Kaase – RHP- Katy (TX)

Kaase sits in the low-90s with his fastball from a 6-foot-4 frame where he gets some great extension down the mound. He pairs it with a cutting slider, looping curveball and sharp changeup.

Carson Priebe – RHP – Wakeland (TX)

Sterling Bigley – RHP/OF – Braswell (TX)

Bigley works from a 6-foot-5 frame in the low-90s to high-80s, who can also swing the bat pretty well.

Lane Bledsoe – LHP – Bristow (OK)

Bledsoe is a strong LHP, the 12th overall player in the state of Oklahoma. He possesses a strong low-90s fastball from a low 3/4 slot.

Parker Hutyra – RHP – Birdville (TX)

As mentioned earlier this week, Hutyra was trimmed from Oklahoma’s 2023 class a few weeks back, and the Red Raiders landed him in a tightly contested recruiting battle.

JM Long - 3B – Pleasant Grove (TX)

Long possesses a hell of a swing from the left side that shows some excellent power that will lift the ball really well. The bat speed is great and he shows power to all fields, one of the slept on prospects from this class.

Garrett Schroeder - SS/2B – Pearce (TX)

Schroeder is another strong hitter, this time from the right side. He showed some pop throughout his high school career. He gets the bat on plane really well.

Brady Trombello – RHP – Prairie (WA)

Trombello has a funky release that helps him get down the mound well and the fastball has developed during his senior season. The stuff really plays and he will likely have a chance to carve out a role in the bullpen.

Will Magids – UTL – Austin Westlake (TX)

Joe Sockwell - RHP - Austin Westlake (TX)

Sockwell is a very interesting arm that works from a sidearm, near submarine angle with some crazy arm-side run on the two-seam fastball. He possesses a strong east-west profile that is funky enough to turn some heads this fall.
