So, through multiple sources, I've essentially gathered the same thing: First, that Tech has indeed reached out to UNLV head coach and former Red Raider assistant Chris Beard. So, there has been contact made.
Second, and based off what I've heard, I don't believe his buyout - which is $1 million - would be a hurdle. I believe Tech would be willing to pay it.
Now, I'm not saying this is the definitive direction that Tech will go for sure, but it has been discussed based off what I've been able to gather so far.
