Caught up with Zhaire Smith and asked him a few questions:
1) What has it been like being a 76er so far?
"So far so good. Got my first taste of summer league!"
2) How was the NBA Summer League experience?
"The Summer League experience for me was good, learned a lot and had fun competing."
3) What did you learn the most from the Summer League and what are some things that you can improve on?
"I learned that the game was faster and everybody is bigger. I want to still continue to improve on my shooting and ball handling."
4) What's next for you between now and the NBA regular season?
"Camp and rookie stuff, working on my game."
5) What did it mean to you to have Chris Beard in attendance at the NBA Draft?
"It meant a lot, I know Coach Beard really supports me and we both got love for each other."
5) What do you think of the recent player additions to Texas Tech basketball and the job that Chris Beard and staff are doing?
"I believe they have a good core of groups coming in. Coach Beard is doing a great job recruiting and I will be there for them if they have any questions."
