Greene Confirms Visit Plans

Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) St. Thomas Aquinas wide receiver and Florida State commit

Rashad Greene
confirmed to RRS this week that plans to
visit Texas Tech later this month.

"Not a lot has changed right now, I'm still with Florida State," he said. "I'll
be out at Texas Tech on the 28th."

Greene, a four-star prospect, is very close to Red Raider defensive backs coach
Otis Mounds.

"I've been talking with Coach Mounds and he's like an uncle to me," Greene said.
"When he was here at St. Thomas, we were really close. I consider him family.
He's told me some about what they've got going on at Texas Tech, so I'm looking
forward to getting out to see what they're about."

It will be difficult for Tech to flip the 6-foot, 175-pound standout, but even
Greene acknowledges that anything is possible.

"I'm not expecting the trip to change anything with me, but you never know."

Morales Ready For Official Visit

Arlington (Texas) Sam Houston offensive linemen
Tony Morales
will be in Lubbock this weekend for an
official visit. Morales will join nine other confirmed official visitors that
will be here this weekend.

"I leave this Friday and just really look forward to spending time with the
commits and the coaching staff. It isn't even really a recruiting trip, I know I
am going to Tech and I have already been up there more than most people so I am
really just happy to go up there and spend time with my future teammates and the
players who are already there."br />

MMorales also received an in-home visit from Tommy Tuberville
Wednesday night. The two talked about a different topics and what their plans
were for this summer.

"We just talked about my visit this weekend, and really what it was going to be
like once I move down there. We talked about the depth chart and where I fit
into that next year. We talked about me going to summer school to get there even
earlier and work on my studies and football during the summer."

The 6-foot-4, 300-pound prospect also talked to RRS about his reaction
to Rivals100 prospect

Marcus Roberson
committing to the Red Raiders this week.

"Man, that is the first thing I thought. I was excited; he is a good player to
pick up. I am excited to see him on the other side of the ball in practice," he
said. "I would be scared if I was a quarterback and he was on the other team. It
is going to be fun and hopefully we are going to get a few more players like
that this year."br />

Morales Facebook'd Roberson last Wednesday night to help build his relationship
with his fellow Red Raider commit. He is also excited to see some of his fellow
commits this weekend and wants to gage their excitement on this year's class.

"I just want to go talk to the other commits, and see how they are doing and I
want them to be as happy as I am to be down here and be a Red Raider. We have a
good class, and with a few more players we will have an even better class."

Morales is the No. 5 ranked center in the nation and chose Texas Tech over
offers from Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Missouri, Oklahoma and Southern
Methodist.

Evans Excited About Visiting Tech

Grand Prairie (Texas) South Grand Prairie defensive end

Kindred Evans
will be in the South Plains this weekend for his
official visit. Evans also received an in home visit Wednesday night by
Robert Prunty
.

"Yeah he did, it was good. We talked about my recruiting and about what we are
going to do on the visit," he said. "Coach P told me that they had some new type
of construction going on down there so I am going to look at that. Coach P
wanted to tell me all about it but he said he would just let me see for myself.
They also have some new dorms that are supposedly very nice and that is probably
where I will be living in Lubbock so I just wanted to get a better view of where
I am going to live in down there. I am going to look at the new stuff at the
school and see how students are down there. I am excited to also hang out with
all my fellow recruits."

The 6-foot-6, 215-pound prospect also reacted to the news of Rivals100 Marcus
Roberson committing to the Red Raiders this week.

"No one told me, and I looked on the website today and saw it and was surprised,
I knew he was interested but I didn’t think he would commit yet," he said. "I am
pumped about it, he seems like a really good player and is probably one of the
best players in all of high school so we need to get him in here and get him
rolling so he can help us win a national championship."

Evans chose Texas Tech over offers from Arkansas, Baylor, Colorado State,
Illinois, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota and Western Kentucky.

Don't Expect Williams To Announce Tomorrow

Tampa (Fla.) Robinson athlete

Frankie Williams
was scheduled to announce his college decision
tomorrow afternoon, but those plans have been postponed.

We reported yesterday that Williams was visited by Nebraska coach Bo Pelini
yesterday, and it seems as if Pelini was able to convince Williams to push back
his announcement and visit NU next week.

More as we know it.
