Hats off to Cam Warren for not only winning last night’s game but for putting together just a terrific season — both at the plate and in the field. You have to know it was sweet for him to come home and beat the team he originally signed with out of high school. Not sure if everyone was aware of some of the sick stats he’s putting up:
60 RBI’s — 1st in conference (Josh Jung is second with 44 rbi’s)
13 Home Runs - 2nd in conference ( OSU’s Trevor Boone first with 15 hr’s)
.341 Batting Average - 7th in conference ( Baylor’s Davis Wendzel with .385 average)
0 Errors in 19 conference gamesand only 2 all season. The guy has been terrific.
If you look at some of Cam’s conference stat’s they are not quite as good as his yearly stats but to his defense Tech has unquestionably played a tougher schedule than most all of the other Big 12 teams. The crazy thing is that every major league team passed in drafting Cam last year. I could not believe it at the time but it was Tech’s good fortune to have Him back at Tech this year.
