BYU favored by 3.5

BYU is 39 in KenPom
45 in Net ranking
0-2 vs Quad 1
1-1 vs Quad 2

Only common opponent with Tech is they beat Wyoming 68-49 (Tech beat Wyoming 96-49)

But in a lot of ways BYU and Tech are in very similar boats. Neither team has played a lot of good teams and they have lost in the chances they did get.
Prior to conference play, BYU lost to Ole Miss by 11 and Providence by 19, they beat NC State by 11.

This is gonna be a lot tougher game than a couple nights ago vs the Utes. Not to mention a totally different atmosphere.
Last home game for the Cougs was on New Years eve and they had 16,000+ in attendance
they beat Arizona State by 20 in that one
(then turned around and lost by 31 @ Houston)

BYU has one of the best home court advantages in the country, and apparently the holidays haven't held them back in that either.

Make no mistake, this will be a tough one to get tonight. As mentioned, Cougs are a 3.5 point favorites. BYU can score some points, they have scored 75 or more 9 of their 13 games and as has been mentioned in other threads, they shoot a TON of 3's. Kinda live or die by it, and that worries me most because so far this season we have let a few teams get red hot behind the arc.
This will be a very good win if you can play defense the way you did the final 24 minutes in Salt Lake.
And you really need it to offset that UCF loss... even more so when you look at who you got on the schedule right after.
