First time home buyers looking for some opinions...
Wife and I have put an offer in on a home here in Midland built by "RM(R&M?) Construction" in 2016. The home checks a ton of boxes for us, but the inspection report uncovered some things such as...
-Exposed roof fasteners (common, per insoector)
- Improperly installed fasteners for the attic stairs
- Cracked mortar joint
- Right Rear entry door strikes the Left door when closing.(Doors are fairly tall french doors, inspector claims this is common)
- Sealant missing around windows
- Loose outlet(needs tightened)
- Kitchen sink missing sink mounts under the counter
- Bathtub faucet leaks
Some should be fairly simple fixes, but I've gone from being excited about the purchase to nervous that we're buying a poorly constructed home. Anyone experience anything similar? My realtor, friends in the real estate business, and the inspector are unfamiliar with builder...which adds to my anxiety.
TIA
