I know for the most part we are very worked up one way or the other, but even after the recent poditioning the Briles thing still isn’t happening under this AD/President combination.
Cody specifically mentioning Huepel twice as a Kirby favorite is very concerning. I would still put my own money on McGuire, Graham, or Traylor getting the job, though.
The strategy to wait until after Wednesday to fire Wells is absolutely the wrong move and probably the hardest decision for me to understand in this whole thing. At some point Wells will start telling the kids he is gone and start negatively recruiting, if that hasn’t already happened. That may actually be more damaging than just getting rid of the guy and Kirby asking the kids to hang in with us. I really hope the people with pull have convinced Kirby (or Schovanec if necessary) over the weekend to make the move tomorrow instead. Last I heard on Friday the plan was to still wait. Either way, we have a long, long week ahead of us.
