Things that I understand (sunshine):

- We have a CB in Nigel. The more comfortable he gets, the less I worry about his size. He and Johnson are the purest football players we have on defense
- Fehoko definitely has a burst, just needs to become a player at this level. Playing on the inside vs Big 12 guards is a brutal thing....especially coming from Hawaii
- Gibbs was NOT BSing about creating turnovers. If not for Pats int's, our margin would be as amazing a turnaround as I've ever seen
- Alston has ZERO quit. Would much rather have him playing SDE instead of BJack. He might not make a ton of plays, but he is active and plays hard. Too bad he gone
- Pat has just hit a soph rut. It happens to the best of them....in fact, if I wasn't too lazy, I'd look it up and show you it happens to ALL of them......especially with the competition dialing up, the Oline injuries, and the pressure to score every series. He will be fine....but he has definitely fallen into some habits that KK needs to work out
- Chiv can coach special teams....period
- I think MUCH more highly of this recruiting class than some on here
- As much as I trust Gibbs as a coach, I do not understand the lack of adjustment to the run game. I mean, it make zero sense to me that we run the same base, the same twists, the same technique even when it is getting killed. Honestly, I don't care if we get dusted in man coverage across the board, commit to the box until we stop the run. Fact is, we play 4 mediocre (at best) QB's the rest of the way. MAKE THEM BEAT YOU. If I see us walk an LB up to an odd front with ONE LB at the second level, I might kick my TV in
- We opened up in the first several offensive series in empty, 5-wide sets. I COMPLETELY get that KK was trying to get Pat in a groove. Clearly he wasn't. Recognize and take the pressure off of him and let DWash be DWash. Also, on that note.....If I see Stockton run behind the center/guard one more time, I am going to take the kicked in TV from the one LB set and burn it
- I have heard first hand that the defensive coaches get along well. But I am starting to wonder if they see the same things and are working to adjust. Just doesn't seem cohesive
- I want to blame our WR woes on coaching, or lack of. Then, it hits me that as the season has worn on, we have seen MULTIPLE walk ons and true freshman having to make a difference. And then I dig deeper.....we have ONE, yes ONE, contributing Senior, ONE underachieving JR and another JR who is a transfer. You cannot be successful that way.....just impossible.
