Sat 9:39a update
Rain and storms are moving through Birmingham now. May end in time for start of game, will be done later in game. It’s 70 now. Temp will drop to mid to lower 50s late in game with a north wind.

As far as lightning, it’s a tough call whether it’ll be close enough to kickoff to delay the start. Lightning has mainly been with the leading edge, but also there have only been a few strikes.

Friday afternoon update

Latest timing on the rain shows it'll probably be south of the game during the afternoon. It'll be a good line of rain moving NW to SE across Alabama through the day. Rain is expected in the morning, then clearing through the afternoon.

Kickoff in the upper 50s dropping to the lower 50s by the end of the game. A cool north wind will move in behind the rain.

Thursday afternoon update

No change in rain outlook...rain is likely Saturday. It's possible that it rains early in the day and moves south later in game. It now looks like the temperature will drop through the afternoon, so upper 50s at kickoff dropping to the lower 50s by the end of the game.

Wednesday afternoon update

It'll be a wet, cloudy Saturday in Birmingham. The temperature likely won't move much, holding in the upper 50s during game time. It may not rain continuously, but rain is expected during the day. At this point it'll likely be stable enough to where it's just rain, no thunderstorms.

Monday update
Saturday will likely be cloudy and cool. The temperature forecast is iffy right now, since we don't know if a cold front will be south or north of Birmingham at that time. It'll make the difference between a high in the low 40s or low 50s.

For now...kickoff in the 40s, end of the game low 50s. Not much sun, a few showers during the day.
