This is like the Kenpom equivalent for football. It's not good.
Offense
Points per drive - tied for 6th with Ok. State. Only BU / TCU / KU are worse.
TO Rate - 2nd worst in the conference. Only Ok. State is worse.
Second behind OU in terms of fewest punts per drive.
Yardage Rate - This is yards gained divided by yards an offense could have gained if it scored TDs on all of its possessions. We are 8th in the conference, but pretty far ahead of BU/KU.
(these include non-conference games)
% of plays over 20 yards - Tied for 8th with Bayor (TCU is 7th). KU is last.
% of plays over 10 yards - Tied with UT for 3rd.
Worst starting field position for our offense in the conference.
Defense
Points per drive - UT is 8th at 2.47 points per drive. We are on a different planet in last place at 3.32 points per drive, a smidge behind Kansas at 3.30. Note that garbage time is excluded here, so Kansas has probably allowed more points per drive than us, it's just some of those possessions are excluded because their game was already out of hand.
TD rate - OU is 8th at 31.1% of drives ending in TDs. We are on a different planet in 9th at 41.7% (we also allow the most FGs per drive).
Tied with UT for forcing the lowest rate of punts.
TO rate - we are second to last in forcing turnovers.
Yardage Rate - Second to last.
(these include non-conference games)
Second worst starting field position for the defense (includes non-conference games).
Only Kansas has allowed a higher % of plays to go for 10 or more yards. KU / TCU / OU have allowed a higher % of plays to go for more than 20 yards.
