I have a question regarding season tickets for men's basketball. I found myself going to several home games last year just purchasing tickets at the door, so I've considered buying two season passes. However, they're just so high for a decent seat, costing $450-$500 each by the time you add in an annual seat contribution. I can't pony up $1000 for season tickets when I'm already buying 4 season football tickets and know I will end up having to miss many games anyway. I enjoy the games I can attend and realize that with the number of games there are, it's not a bad value, but I also realize that, short of big conference games, few show up. Why are they priced so high if they can't sell them? It has almost turned me off of the idea of basketball season passes.
What I've done with at-the-door tickets is purchase whatever and then sit in the middle of the giant vacant sections in a better seat for most games. Any of you guys do the same with season tickets for basketball? I could purchase corner tickets for $200 each (or even nose-bleed tickets for $119) and then move around and down for most games, returning to my reserved seats for the busy conference games.
