From what I understand the NCAA is likely to announce regional hosts by the end of April. If so, we have 5 games left before they're announced. They are OU, Baylor (3), and N Mexico. Winning 4 would make us a lock and maybe even 3. With our shortage of quality starters, it is essential to get a #1 regional seed and win those first two games.
OSU handed the sweep to TCU by walking 22 in one weekend. Extremely unlikely that we can catch the winner of the UT/TCU series. We'd have to win two from horns and sweep the other 6. That said, being a regional host would be a nice achievement.
Really proud of this team considering the rash of major injuries, particularly with our pitching staff.
