Tyler Floyd received first team All-Big 12 for his academic accomplishments this year, in which he received another 4.0. Floyd, who has now been an Academic All-Big 12 player twice, is the only player nominated with a 4.0.
Also joining Floyd on the first team Academic All-Big 12 team are Zach Davis, Orlando Garcia, Eric Gutierrez, Ryan Long, Ryan Moseley, Jacob Patterson and Corey Raley.
Three Red Raiders were honored with second team All-Big 12 in Ty Damron, Michael Davis and Hunter Hargrove.
Eight honorees on the first time are the most in Tech's history and tied the school record with 11 total honorees.
