Sinclair is changing the name of the FOX regional sports networks to Bally Sports. People are speculating networks will eventually offer a standalone product like ESPN+ with gaming opportunities inside, which might explain why they’ve been in no hurry to renew contracts with cable partners. It’ll be interesting to see where this goes.
