I’m channeling my inner small town Texas and am planning on getting 3 hens for my backyard at some point the next 6 months.
So who raises chickens? What advice do you have? I’m think Buff Orpingtons, but am not set on anything. From what I’ve read they’re super friendly and the quietest bird out there, which is good for my kids and the fact my HOA technically doesn’t allows chickens. #fightthehoa
I’ll be going easy with Nestera or Eglu Cube for a coop.
I’ve talked about doing it for a couple years and now the kids are toddlers I want them start to take care of some animals. Eggs are a positive but between chickens and a garden I want my kids in the dirt and sun more than the AC and in front of the TV.
