It was incredible, minus the resort. Never stay at Cancun Bay Resort for an all inclusive. Anyway, we roamed freely from Cancun to Isla Mujeras to Playa Del Carmen for 6 days. We jumped from The ADO (bus) to the collectivo (vans) and taxi's. We didn't even make it back to the resort one night after partying in Carmen, just casually got another hotel on 5th avenue....All in all, don't be afraid to visit or feel like you have to stay on a resort if you do go!

o not get their water in your mouth. Use bottle water even for your toothbrush.

#3: Unless you're on Isla Mujeres ALL day, don't get a golf cart
#4: know the exchange rate. Everywhere you go, they change it. Also, count your change everytime. I was shorted money probably 60% of the time.
#5: 5th avenue in Playa del Carmen at NIGHT
#6: Nightclubs in Cancun. They werent as cool as the ones in Playa Del Carmen.
#7: Check the alcohol % of liquor at the resort, they were serving us SHIT. We bought most of our own liquor at the store for next to nothing.
Bus price =12mxn=~$.75/person
Collectivo=40mxn=~$2.20/person (Cancun to Playa Del Carmen 1hr ride)
Taxi=whatever they tell you BEFORE you step in. Do not wait until the end of the ride, we were told.
