So my sister is getting married next April and I'm trying to help the BIL plan a batchelor party. The problem is that most of his friends are fairly young (mid 20s) and therefore fairly broke.
He initially wanted to do Vegas, but it's a $4-500 flight out of San Antonio or Austin, which makes it at least a $1,000 trip with hotel and food. Then you have booze, gambling, etc on top and I think it's pushing the budget for most of his friends.
My solution was Austin. There's plenty to do there with bars, restaurants, strip clubs, etc but no $500 flight. It's not Vegas, but it could get the job done. I've been to 4 batchelor parties there and they were all fun. He didn't seem too interested though.
He likes the outdoors so I thought about fishing in Port a, but he does that a few times a year already so I don't think that's on his list either.
Anyone have any decent suggestions where we could keep it under $1000 a person?
