A big weekend for football as freshman and the rest of the 2020 class are expected to move in tomorrow.
The only “snag” may be with JUCO DE Josh Davies, have heard there could be some personal issues there but we will keep y’all updated as we hear more.
The coaches are also doing Zoom calls and virtual tours with prospects daily.
They completed one yesterday with an Arkansas commit...I reached out for comment and the recruit said he would rather not at this time due to the commitment. I won’t name him but shouldn’t be too hard to figure out.
The coaches completed a Zoom call with Watkins earlier today, I reached out to ask how it went and he said...
“It was good, just got to put names to faces and get to talk to them.”
The coaches also recently completed multiple calls with Caleb Berry. Unfortunately, it’s looking like he’s going to commit to Washington any day now.
I still think his coaches and family would rather he go to Tech and stay close to home, but with no in-person visits allowed I think Washington probably wowed him more on the virtual visits and their recruiting pitch/recent success.
I also think if the coaches kept pursuing him he’s a candidate to potentially flip later on...we will see.
Valdez is going to announce a top 7 soon. We expect Tech to make it and @M. Clare will have an update with him shortly.
I expect the staff to have calls with Donovan Stephens and Jack Leyrer in the next couple days...
