I just read about Arkansas firing their AD, and there was a list of "possible candidates" which included Kirby.

I love Kirby and don't want him to go (don't think he would), but this description of why he would be a good candidate seems somewhat inaccurate re: football

Kirby Hocutt, Texas Tech
Hocutt has been a winner. He has hired great coaches. He has some tangential history with Arkansas. The question is whether Arkansas would be willing to take on Hocutt’s past.

He was athletic director at Miami from 2008-11. After he left, the school was investigated for the Nevin Shapiro scandal. Hocutt was safely gone before things really became ugly. At Texas Tech, he has helped the Red Raiders return to relevance in football by hiring Kliff Kingsbury and has overseen the return to respectability in basketball.

I could see him taking on a new challenge at some point, but I doubt it would be for a place like Arkansas. In any event, whomever wrote this bio seems misguided.
