Along with the current shortage of coins during the Covid crisis, and the problems with our Federal Post Office, I have seen signs that both may be on their way out. I have been to several businesses since this thing began who do not take anything but a card for payment. "Your folding money and coins are no longer good here". How long before this is the new norm and money is no longer used?
Likewise, with the current mail problems has come an increasingly loud voice to close the Federal POstal system and privatize mail delivery. I'd bet it would be a lot more efficient, but might increase cost.
I am not opposed to either, but I must admit that it makes me a little nervous. I'm curious how the board sees these two developments.
