I had a meeting with our company president today (he's a Tech football Letterman from the late 80's early 90's) and during KK's tenure (not sure specific year) he said there was a recruiting showcase in Katy where a bunch of the Katy high school players were working out or practicing. One of the Katy coaches that he is friends with texted the president of our company a picture and said "what looks wrong with this picture?". It was a picture of every single team staff from the Big 12 plus Aggie LSU Alabama and a few other schools that were in attendance recruiting except for ... Texas Tech and KK.
Not beating a dead horse but thought I would share, I like any kind of inside scoops like that. Just makes complete sense why we are where we are. Felt like he gave up recruiting after the stidham debacle and going 4-8. Wells is going to get this thing out of the ditch if we give him enough time I believe that. He may lose recruiting battles here and there, but it ain't for lack of trying. I like our 2020 class and I like who we have in our 2021 class. Don't kill the messenger.
