I personally don't think I believe in that stuff, but my pregnant fiancée swears that she is dealing with something like that for the last few weeks. She experienced it with her first kid as well and said it was a threatening feeling that time and involved some instances of sleep paralysis as well as other weird happenings. With this kid, she said it doesn't feel threatening at all, but instead, feels whatever it is, that it's just messing with her/following her.
I have read that sometimes if the child doesn't have the same blood as the mom, that it can create a sense of dread or ominous/impending doom vibes...as with blood transfusions of the wrong blood type...I lean towards the scientific hypotheses and explanations, so this one makes more sense to me. I am still curious as to others experiences with this stuff and what explanations you received.
