Example #763 of coaching stupidity when managing the clock. KU has the ball 1st and goal (around the 7 yd line) with about 35 seconds remaining in the 2nd Q and they have 1 timeout remaining. They immediately spike the ball to stop the clock. First stupid move. Then on second down the QB gets sacked around the line of scrimmage. Instead of calling timeout or running another play, they simply run the clock down to 3 seconds, call a timeout and attempt a FG on 3rd down....which they missed.
I'm guessing their HC did not make good grades in math.
