Background; Universal released Trolls for home viewing because theaters were closed. It was $20 for 48 hours of viewing. They said they made $95mm this far and are very pleased with that. So much so that they are planning on releasing more movies in this manner, even after theaters open back up.
AMC is pissed and has said they’ll stop playing any Universal movie. The letter in the below link is pretty funny.
curious how y’all feel about this. Outside of big action movies, I would much rather watch a movie at home. And I sure as hell have no desire to sit in a normal theater anymore. If Alamo Drafthouse isn’t playing a movie I likely won’t see it in a theater.
