I was in attendance last night when Amarillo Tascosa played Palo Duro. (THS won 55-8). I'm not sure about grades on any of these youngsters, but I do know someone needs to at least visit with the Head Coach, Ken Plunk, at Tascosa High School. These youngsters deserve a look from our recruiting Dept.
Cream of the crop is #77, Jacobi Lott, 6'5" 320 lb senior. He played both sides as a Left OL guard and a Nose tackle. Difficult to tell which side he was best, because he was outstanding at both positions. A man among boys. I understand his Dad was a former Texas Tech Player, so hopefully this in itself would give him consideration.
The other two players are #21 Lamaron Smith, FB/DE position, 6'1" 220 SR. Great speed as a running back, but I could possibly see him being converted to a LB. The other is #30 Zabrian King, also FB/DE position, 6"2", 246 lb SR. Also has good speed as a Running back, but maybe potential as a DL. Both of these guys made touchdowns and out ran the secondary.
Hope the good guys will take notice.
