My son is 13 and has expressed an interest in starting to fish. He has friends that fish and unfortunately I know nothing about a good rod and reel for a beginner. I don't want to go all out as I have a few hundred $$ worth of paintball gear collecting dust and this fishing thing may be phase as well but I want to encourage him. Any help would be appreciated.
