The loss to Kansas is huge, but also I think we need to realize that Kansas isn't a bad football team this year. Their OC is also the main reason they are winning, the guy can call a game.
There were some positives last night though. I think you've found your QB going into next year Duffey looked the part, Thompson will probably be your RB he runs tough, and I'm starting to see EZ look like the 4 star he is and his future is bright. The only call that really baffles me is the last drive when we have 2nd and 1. We throw then run, just run it twice and get a yard... I don't get it and it was predictable.
The defense is a bit off to me. Doug Coleman is a turnover machine but for some reason it seems to me that he is always the one getting beat deep. The OC for Kansas threw slant after slant cause we weren't playing tight man and then they threw it over the left safeties head about 4-5 times. Same two plays killing you, you have to get that fixed. Its the second week in a row thats happened and that needs to be addressed. It sucks we are playing this way in Brooks last year, I would almost lean toward sitting him so he doesn't get hurt for the NFL.
Probably one of the few that will say this but I like Matt Wells. I do believe that he is going to get this thing turned around, just not in year one. Give the guy time to get his players in and for everyone to buy in. We are all very quick probably because of how quick Beards turnaround was. But, Rome wasn't built in a day. Give this guy a chance, I honestly think he is the right coach.
