The easiest path for removal of a regent is for the governor to ask the Senate to remove them. This happened in 2007 to Texas Southern regent Belinda Griffin. She ultimately resigned. If the governor chooses not to do this, they can still be removed through impeachment proceedings in the House.

Tell them that you demand the five regents: Rick Francis, Ronnie Hammonds, Christopher Huckabee, Mickey Long, and John Steinmetz be impeached as they no longer serve the best interests of Texas Tech University. One the House votes to impeach, then the measure will go to the Senate to convict.

Tell them that you demand an investigation into the forced resignation of Chancellor Duncan and political pressure being applied to regents in order to turn them against the best interests of Texas Tech by another university.
