Ok red raider sports braintrust hear me out and let’s chew on this one for a minute. There are rumors the the government will soon be cutting a check to every man woman and child in America to help with the economic hardship caused but the coronawuhanvirus.
Now it’s a forgone conclusion that we have many options for how to utilize this cash. We can do our patriotic duty and splurge on something dumb to support the economy. We can invest it in stonks and provide some bids to a market that desperately needs them. We can pay rent, or buy groceries.
but I have a grander plan. We should each give our check (and obvs our wives and children’s checks) to the university of Texas tech athletic department. Hear me out. We know with crashing oil prices they’ll be hurting for donations and it remains to be seen if the savers at the pump can pick up the slack. I saw on the google that the UTT alumni association has 225000 ish members. If each of them donates $2k, boom we’re talkin an easy 450 mil.
