*First, kudos to you guys, the fans, for showing up and creating a great atmosphere. I wasn't sure what it would be like with school still out, but it was one of the best atmospheres at the USA in the last seven or eight years. A lot of fun regardless of the outcome.
*It wasn't a pretty game, and there were some rough stretches where both teams went something like 1-10 or 1-9 shooting, but both teams played good defense, and the Red Raiders answered shots when they had to until the last 2-3 minutes. While they lose to both Iowa State and Kansas, I think this Tech team is finally ready to compete with the rest of the conference every night.
*Speaking of, Tech held Kansas to a season low 69 points. Some of that was due to them not having a great night shooting, but the Red Raiders also played some pretty damn good defense with a TON of hustle.
*Its easy to root for this Tech team too because of the way they fight, scratch, and claw, you rarely ever see them let up, and they have a ton of heart. That'll win them a few games they shouldn't down the stretch, IMO.
*Odiase is beginning to really develop a nice jumper from the elbows and beyond, which can make him so much more dynamic of an offensive threat. He hit three or four of them last night, and Bill Self said he certainly noticed in the postgame.
*This team is gonna have to start hitting more threes, simple as that. Whether that's manufacturing ways to get Gotcher more open looks or just taking more of them as a team, they've got to find a way to start hitting from outside consistently.
*Devaugntah Williams has disappeared in the last two games, and that won't fly if Tech's gonna be consistently successful. He allows missing shots to creep into the other aspects of his game according to Tubby, and that simply has to change. They need his offensive production night in and out.
*Justin Gray is really growing into something, and he's been the best sixth man Tech's had in a long, long time so far.
*Free throws. FREE THROWS. It looked like this team had fixed that issue once we got 10 games in, but it's rearing its ugly head again. The mentality has to change again, as it's becoming a totally mental thing and spreading throughout the team.
