It sounds like things could be wrapping up soon in the search for the next Lady Raiders head coach. From what I've gathered, UTEP's Kevin Baker sounds like the leading candidate and has interviewed for the job. This was Baker's first year at UTEP. He was at Angelo State before that for two seasons.
It's possible that New Mexico's Mike Bradbury might interview for the job this week as well, a team that won 10 more games in year two than year one with Bradbury as the head coach.
More as I know it.
UPDATE (Thurs. 3:23 p.m.): Welp, apparently Baker is now out of the running. Don’t know if he turned it down or was told no thanks. So much for that.
UPDATE (Thurs. 5:04 p.m.): Have heard that Minnesota coach Marlene Stollings is a candidate. Here’s her bio. Could be a legit candidate or just trying to get a raise. Either way, she is involved.
