This BB team is really different from most I have ever watched. I don't think I can recall a team being able to play this level of defense on such a consistent basis over such a long stretch of games including some games against normally high scoring teams.
Obviously, all these games are close and we should not be surprised to lose some along the way as even as these Big 12 teams appear to be. But, with the league starting out with no one looking dominant and everyone but TCU and Tech with a loss already, we certainly are in the mix to win
the league if this kind of defense can hold up over the full schedule.
If feels like the players on this team have fully bought into a somewhat different formula for winning games of playing over the top defense and then just making enough plays on the other end to get the close win. This makes this team harder to evaluate because our games play out differently due to our style of play and the formula we are using to get close wins. It will be interesting to see if this can keep going. I won't doubt it is possible because we appear to have full buy in by the players and that can carry a team a long ways. Really enjoying the run so far and trying to make sure I fully appreciate what I am seeing in this team. One of the best starts in our BB history without question. The work ethic these guys put in is amazing from my point of view.
