Of course congrats to Coach Adams. No doubt he will be easy to root for for many reasons.
My assumption is that this hire will give Tech a lot of flexibility to pay up for a deep and talented staff.
If that happens, it is entirely possible the program will be better off two years from now than it would if
Beard had stayed and really had peaked at Tech. I still wonder if that is one reason he wanted out.
Also, when one guy gets most of the money and the credit for success, it's human nature for some potential
resentment to build up. If Coach Adams navigates that a bit better and gets a strong "we're all an important
part of the team" mentality going with a staff, that could lead to success.
One thing is clear, virtually everyone seems to want Coach Adams to be successful. I wish him great success as
paying your dues and loyalty do count for something.
