I’m in NYC for some business and came a day early just to hang. Although I come up here pretty often, I have not yet been to the memorial and museum. It is pretty emotionally draining. I was hacking it ok until I went into one of the little alcoves that addresses a specific topic and it was the one about people who had jumped to their death. The museum had quotes projected into the wall and there was one statement a witness made about a woman who calmly stepped to the edge and modestly held down her dress and then stepped off. To be honest, I teared up and had to walk out.
If you haven’t been, I recommend it. But, it can be a bit hard to take.
