I was checking in on UTe to see how they were fairing this year. They're about to play their 5th home game already and lost their only road game to a so-so UF team. They, along with UGA and I assume others, have 8 home games this year. So beyond the 4 non-cons the SEC teams get to schedule each year, some are getting 67% of their schedule at home...sheesh that's a big difference from our 6 (50%) at home.
I realize this isn't news breaking but man is that an advantage (and something I hadn't paid much attention to), particularly when your non-con is UTSA, UConn, UVA, and...Austin Peay. Of course they're ranked RN as well, with a 4-1 record and highlight win against a (2-3) USCe team at home. Our 6-6 could be their 8-4. Let the SEC hype roll on though. It looks better when we punish them in a bowl.
