So had iHeart Radio on this morning and it was replaying an episode of American Top 40 with Casey Kasem from the 70s. He was reading a letter someone wrote in, and the question was "has a heavy metal song sung by a female ever made the Top 40".
His answer was "yes, but only one" and he proceeded to name the song, which is a very well known song. I'm not sure I'd call it metal but am wondering if anyone can guess what song it was. It's probably fairly obvious, but just wanted to see what the RRS over-40 braintrust thinks and if they agree with Casey.
