How were your biggest areas of concern addressed this spring?
1. RB. Without an average Stockton we were left with only King as a solid starter in what was supposed to be an enhanced rushing attack.... Ward's return has turned it from weakness to strength. If Watson signs on...
2. Pass defense/rush. Pass rush & coverage go hand in hand. DBs making Qb hold it a second longer and a DL getting to him a 1/2 second sooner can make each other look great... The carousel in our secondary last year is paying off now. More athleticism and experience with some depth in the secondary now. Hopefully it's not coach speak when we hear of Kolin's weight loss being helpful. Does an extra year in Gibb's system allow us to be more creative with Allen, Brooks, and Jeffers?
3. QB. Still undecided but the key word is potential. Lots of it in Duffy and oir secret weapon may be Bowman. Having both going thru spring practice was huge. On the QB issue ... In KK we trust. Hard to believe he won't have one ready to go.
4. WR. Still concerned. Too inconsistent. Grad transfer may be very helpful and hopefully one frosh steps up. Damn, if we just had that one stud that required some double teaming or extra attention!
5. Replacing Thomas on the DL. Having Wallace back is a huge addition. Another year for Washington, and McCann's improvement could make this group even better than last.
6. Kicking game. Hatfield is healthy!!!

Finally, the offensive scheme. Never know for sure but I like another fresh pair of eyes and fresh ideas. Think it will pay dividends.
