With the loss of 8 pitchers (Shetter, Quezada, Martin, Harpenau, Gingery, Dusek, Gilbert, Gonzalez) from last year's World Series squad Tech will be looking to find fill the void with both signees from the high school and JC ranks. Even though Tech lost out on highly regarded Jacob Lopez (who signed with the SF Giants) Tech has signed at least six other JC pitchers to come in and compete this Fall. They include:
- Garret Cobb (RHP - Sophomore) (6'4" 200) (Cisco JC) http://www.canyonnews.com/canyon-alum-garrett-cobb-follows-juco-path-to-texas-tech/. Pitched in 14 games (all in relief), 28 innings, 33K's, 15 walks, 3-0 record with 4 saves. 4.50 ERA.
- Taylor Floyd (RHP - Sophomore) (6'1" 170) (Grayson College). Pitched in 21 games (primarily relief), 32.1 innings, 56 K's, 9 walks, 1-3 record with 9 saves, 2.78 ERA
- Aaron Weseman (LHP - Sophomore) (6'5" 195) (Midland JC). Pitched in 15 games (9 starts), 44.2 innings, 40 K's, 38 walks, 4-1 record, 5.24 ERA. Out of high school he originally committed to Dallas Baptist.
- Justin Lewis (LHP - Freshman) (6'1" 194) (Midland JC). Pitched in 27 games (primarily relief), 47.1 innings, 63 K's, 25 walks, 4-0 record with 4 saves, 5.51 ERA
- Carson Carter (RHP - Freshman-RS) (6'4" 180) (Hill JC). Pitched in 17 games (15 starts), 63.1 innings, 79 K's, 37 walks, 5-4 record, 3.84 ERA.
- Ryan Keesee (LHP - Sophomore) (6’3” 170) (Temple JC). Pitched in 17 games (14 starts), 69.2 innings, 80 K’s, 5-5 record with 1 save, 4.52 ERA.
