We all know that Kliff is returning for 2018, but what happens if he gets off to a bad start which is entirely possible? What if we start off undefeated or with 1 loss?

Scenario #1:
We go 1-4 or 2-3 in that stretch with a game at TCU coming up after the bye. Fire Kliff and promote Gibbs to interim HC. Ride out the rest of the season and see how it goes. If season goes well and say we finish 7-5 or 8-4 and the team plays hard, then we seriously consider a promotion to permanent HC tag for Gibbs. We go 4-8 or even 5-7 then we burn the whole mother down and start over. No doubt the defense plays hard for Gibbs.
Scenario #2:
We go 4-1 or 3-2 with a close loss at OSU. Keep Kliff through the season and set a low water mark for 8(maybe 9) games minimum. Then review everything after the bowl game.
With the defense returning so much next season maybe the low water mark for Kliff to stay is 9 wins. All I know is, if Kliff continues to mismanage the offense and personnel as he's done the past few seasons, the screw should be turned harder than ever next season. He's been given a LONG rope because he's Kliff.
