The Burnett thread got me looking at this. SIAP.
- Last season we were #26 in the country in home attendance averaging 12,098 people per game, 80% of capacity.
- We were 3rd in the Big 12 behind KU (16,236) and ISU (14,099).
- This still doesn't match our all time high of 13,748 average attendance in 2002 (91%, 18th in the country).
- We were #19 in largest attendance increase from the previous season, going from an average of 10,740 to 12,098 -- an increase of 1,358 people per game.
- We have been top 25 in attendance increase the past FOUR seasons.
- There is a ceiling on how high we can go due to capacity. If we had sold out every game last season and averaged 15,098, we would have still only ranked 13th.
- We were #7 in the country in "all games" attendance last season. 573,513 people saw us play in person (home, neutral, away) just edging-out Kansas at 538,017.
- The Big 12 ranked 5th in overall attendance, (but played far fewer games than most other conferences).
