Are we done with looking for the small town gems after so many kicks in the nuts from Dee Paul, Dominique (forgot last name), and Reggie Davis types?
The Wellington O-line was a project for sure but most small town athletes are. Besides Reggie, who was our last starter that was from a small school?
Again, recruiting wise, are these kids more likely to have a better chance in JUCO and then move up to D1 or walk-on, or are they too far behind??
There are some pretty good athletes in the smaller divisions, not like the 5A/6A stars. But I know each division may have a kid out there that has been overlooked and or not even looked at at all. Just curious to where we stand on that?
For example, I know a kid who’s 5’11”-6” 280 JR that can run probably a 4.8 or 4.9 but he plays sixman. He needs to be playing 11man for sure but he is playing 6man...
