Why is our media so soft

Rewatching the presser after the game, no one seems to care to hold JM responsible? They kind of ask a question and JM gives a typical nothing answer and they just shrug. The AJ and whoever else need to start pressing him on the teams failures and quit letting him off the hook. I also have zero faith KH is asking the hard questions either. It’s embarrassing that JM just gets to roll along like this is acceptable play.

One thing that surprised me...

Was finding out other countries covering our election just like CNN or Fox or whatever.
On YouTube I've stumbled across news coverage from Australia,Great Britain and Canada.
Showing every state and the projections in all night coverage .

Then....in every instance, in every country, there were progressive vs conservative analysis that mirrors the arguments here.

Just didn't really think about it but what happens here really matters globally.

Deion a hustler

Hunter not shit. He’s not a world class DB or WR. Not a Crabtree as a receiver. Just a good player that can play both way like many do in HS. The way Deion did in the league. That drives recruiting and attention. That the hustler in Deion. . That’s that playa hustle. His son isn’t a heisman QB definitely not a NFL QB. Honestly a ROJO with a last name of a hall of fame player. Deion just knows that talk. He a hustler, a playa.

I need some clarification because the it can’t be both ways

Cody Campbell tweeted that the officiating was terrible to which tons of people came out of the wood work and said only losers complain about officiating. On the other hand when you have a highly penalized game the same people will tell you that you can’t win with all those penalties. So which is it. To me officiating can 100% turn a game and change momentum. That roughing call on sanders was absolutely brutal.

Updated Defense Rankings

After yesterday our defense is now ranked out of 133 teams:

124th in scoring defense at 36.14 PPG

128th in Total Defense at 466.6 YPG

81st in Red Zone Defense at 85.3%

80th in 3rd down % at 40%

90th in 4th down % at 58.8%

TD needs to figure it out. I don't care if they are young, thats pitiful. If you actually think the offense is the worst part of this team, I don't know what to tell you.

Explain this to me like I’m 5

Why are so many people calling for coaches to be fired?

Losing sucks, but we’re currently in our best stretch of football since 2009. Oline and Dline suck, they have may still sucked but we’ll never know since both have been hit hard by injuries. It’s also an easy fix since we can hopefully just pay for players next year.

Win the next two and you have your best conference record since 2008.

8-4 until we aren’t.

Staff, Cody and Other Get ITT (NIL)

Can you shed a light for how the payment system will look moving forward? All the talk of just buying new lineman in the offseason with NIL has me curious of the structure.

$20 million per year to be paid across ALL athletes in the university.. does Tech have to opt in for each sport or can the pick and choose? Are all schools across the conferences playing with the same amount?

With the Matador Club morphing into the RRC, does that mean NIL will no longer be able to sign players like they do now?

Will this prohibit the Matador Club from coming on top of the $20MM to pay extra for a certain player to get them to sign?

Some clarity would be good.

History 101

The first Texas Tech game I saw in person was in 1976, the Astro Bluebonnet bowl. Since then you can count on two hands the number of 9+ win regular seasons we have had and still have a couple fingers left over. If you go back even further, those numbers get even worse. We have a great fanbase, and have some real success at other sports, but I don’t care what coach, conference, competition, and “talent“ we bring in here, I truly believe that our program will never elevate to the heights that we expect and demand. It’s cathartic writing this. at 58 I feel foolish expecting anything different.
