So, the wife has to go to Taipei for work next month and I decided to tag along. We are spending a few days in Tokyo on the way and want to see Mt Fuji and not sure what else. We will then be in Taipei for 5 days while she works so not sure how much time we will have to see shit there.

Any suggestions for what and how to do things there would be great. I do not really want to book some tour and be stuck on their schedule.

My daughter, who’s actually very mature, responsible, and successful, had a first date with a guy last week. They met at a coffee shop after work, hit it off, took a little walk, and because they were close to his house, she let her guard down and agreed to go to his house to see his record collection. She said as soon as he closed the door behind her, she knew she was in trouble. His whole demeanor changed. Without going into detail, he was very abusive and rough.

He poured two glasses of wine and was very specific about which glass was hers, which makes her think he’d put something in hers. Thankfully she just had a couple of small sips, or she might’ve been held captive for who knows how long.

She went to a rape crisis center the next day, and they collected forensic evidence and pictures. She’s not sure she wants to press charges. I want her to fight and make this motherf*cker pay. I guess I’m posting here to get pros and cons of pursuing charges.

The members are Texas Tech, Baylor, Okie State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Iowa State.

Texas Christian and West Virginia are not original members and were not here for a decade and a half of Texas and OU's bull shit. I've never been a "cheer for the conference guy"... but I'll cheer for the Salty Six (except for Baylor). I want the OG Big 12 to be successful and lead this conference in the future. However, I want Texas Tech to be the only successful team in Texas (for recruiting reasons).

So looking for suggestions on how to get a more personal visit experience for my daughter to sell her on Tech. We are current on visits to Arkansas, Oklahoma and Osu this week. She has been to Tech with me several times, just hoping to make Tech stand out a bit. She wants to go pre-med and is interested in the honors college as well. She’s at the top of her class so information on scholarships would be great as well. Any help or contacts would be much appreciated.

Straight up bragging on my boys. They participate in TAAF summer track meets, which means we’ve been at track meets for five Saturdays as well as yesterday and today for regionals. Region 4 is a tough out with the number of competitors here (IBTT is a monster) but my boys did awesome. My oldest (10u) took first in high jump, 4th in 800m, and 2nd in 1600m with a 6:08, missed 1st by less than a second. All three are qualified for state. My youngest son is 6, and qualified for the 8u 800m with a 3:18. He missed long jump by 1 spot.
