Mike Leach Fantasy Camp-mid 2000's

My brother *R8R Fan" were reminiscing about ML Fantasy camp and couldn't remember what years those were held.
I was there at the first camp and we both went to the second camp...not sure if they had anymore after that.

Any of you guys get to attend and remember what years those were held? We are thinking 2006 and 2007, Graham was still there as QB.

OT: Christmas lists

Every year my family asks everyone to put together Christmas lists for stuff they want. I hate it because pretty much have what I want. The things I'd like to get on top of those tend to be out of the price range for family Christmas gifts. However, I need to do something because otherwise I'll likely get a bunch of garbage that ends up at Goodwill by February. So, anyone have any good things they've been eyeing that could gift me some ideas?

And just to be clear, this is going to in-laws, etc. So it isn't that kind of list for those posts I know are coming.

One thing I know I'm going to ask for is a nice backpack. I travel with either a rolling carryon or a duffle depending on the trip and have a messenger bag for my laptop that I take to work that I usually take as well. But if I take the duffle and the messenger bag, by the time I'm on a plane my shoulder is feeling it. Thinking this one

When USC came to Lubbock

I was there and Marcus Allen was the RB as I recall . But here is my point. A USC running back broke thru the line and was running for a TD.

I recall, A Gabe Riveria, turning and he had a little angle on the RB and he caught him!! The Sack Master indeed.

Later first round pick for Steelers and then the car accident. Out of San Antonio as I recall. Do I have this about right ?

John Harris

So, just watching the game broadcast in the ESPN- and I just realized that we prolly don’t give this guy his due. I mean, other than him dropping the SBD on some dude at a grocery store 30+ years back. Radio silence otherwise.

So, considering that he’s been doing this since I was a student, why aren’t we extolling this guy’s Better than Averageness???(not wanting to bestow greatness, or even goodness until this has been subjected to an open discussion

Let’s hear it for Jon Harris (or John, just too lazy to see how it’s spelled).

That’s a 22 pts, 9 rebs, 2 block average to start… and he makes it look effortless

Seeing him in person tonight, he’s pretty unbelievable. He moves with ease, great ball control and he’s a solidly built 6’9” (he and D5 both are stout MF’ers). And man he fights inside. Gotta controlled chaos to him. Absolutely punished Wyoming inside tonight, their big guys were grasping at straws on how to defend him. Built for Big 12 battles.

One of the most skilled players I’ve ever seen wear a Tech uniform. Only 19 years old. That kid is special.

I’m out on Kirby

This football season has been a massive gut punch. That’s saying something for this calloused Tech fan of close to 50 years. It honestly felt like this flawed team really had a chance. A schedule of winnable games and roster that was billed as the deepest we had ever seen. It felt like we actually had a realistic opportunity to play for a conference championship.. What a rube I am.

There was something else especially disturbing and disappointing about this season. It felt like we had been unshackled from the unfairness of having to compete against a program that had all of the advantages. That received special treatment from the conference and seemed to get all the calls on the field of play.. LOL! Duped again!

What’s truly nauseating about this is that our Athletic Director is silent.. Silent as a coverup of a likely cheating scandal is swept promptly under the rug by a ridiculous Big 12 kangaroo investigation. Then, silent as we watch another school’s AD fight for his school’s football team and fan base against what was an obvious screw job on the field.

I can’t quit on my school, but I can quit on an Athletic Department that won’t fight for us.. I’m out on Kirby. His political game isn’t helping.. We’re still the red headed step child of the conference.
