So to that point, if anyone on here, your family or friends etc have had a HeartMate 2 or HeartMate 3 implanted you need to know about the recall and I’m using all avenues to spread this info.
These pumps have been the main mechanical options for combatting heart failure for over a decade. A massive issue for heart failure programs. This is a huge deal
So just a psa if any of you or those you know have one of these pumps implanted.

HeartMate II and HeartMate 3 LVAS Recalled due to an Obstruction
HeartMate II and 3 are being recalled because a buildup of biological material is obstructing the device, making it more difficult for the heart to pump blood.
