I’m sitting in the salt lake airport thinking about how poorly we played, how ridiculously nice the BYU fans were, and reflecting on the most memorable parts of yesterday. (Beside the on field play) What jumps to the top is how many BYU fans asked about “the tire.” Nearly every person sitting around me and after the game too.
1. The tire is stupid. It’s the type of DUMB motivational tool I’d expect from the Aggies. Not Tech.
2. This team hasn’t earned (and if they did they lost it) the right to have fun/nice things. Take it away and make them earn it back if they actually want it.
3. What does it actually symbolize? I still can explain it to people without cringing myself. Does someone want to explain where it came from and what it means?
TLDR; the tire- It’s sucks. It’s g@y. It’s dumb. It looks trashy. Get rid of the damn tire.
