Forget the Trump trials. The Supreme Court proceeding regardjng Trump's claim of immunity, could set a precedent for greatly increasing power of all future presidents. If weighs more heavily on our separation and limits of powers than any other case in our history. Trump is depending on support from the most conservative court in our history with 1/3 if it's members appointed by him. In addition, he has a strong supporter in Thomas who has been bought and paid for by Harlan Crow more than Stormy Daniel in her career in porn. A favorable ruling could put an end to many, but not all, of Trump's legal problems. This includes a new state indictment as a co conspirator in Arizona's fake elector trial.

All of his cases pale in importance to the court's immunity ruling which would allow future presidents to become more autocratic in their policies and actions, particularly.when it comes to elections and actions taken against opponents. It would make impeachment the only viable control over a president. And it's hard to envision any future impeachment requiring a 2/3 Senate vote being successful with any president having such power. Be interesting to see if the court overrules lower court decisions of several judges. I expect a type of balancing act to try and give Trump some assistance without going all in on presidential immunity. Their willingness to even consider overturning lower a court gives him hope.
