Wife and I are visiting over Halloween for a week and sort of scouting places to potentially move to in the coming years
Our plan right now is to fly in to Raleigh and checking out that first (they have $99 tickets right now) and then head up to Virginia. We want to check out Roanoke, Lynchburg, Harrisonburg and maybe Charlottesville.
We want to check out Knoxville as well but not sure we'll be able to get to there on this particular trip.
Some context... Wife's parents are looking to retire and would probably be moving close. Doesn't need to be the same city but just with them in mind as well. No kids yet but likely will start trying soon.
Anyone have any experience in this area and/or live there/used to live there with any recommendations on cities to check out in that general vicinity? We are renting a car.
